You will save time and money and build a strong base to build upon by making sure that SEO-related principles are very well represented in the planning and designing of the web page.

#1: Build a consistent, hierarchical navigation path so that the engine crawlers can easily and efficiently crawl the web site.

An un-organized web design causes difficulty for the crawlers as they crawl the information and links on your page. The more organized and fluent your web page the more efficient it will be for SEO purposes.

#2: Use your anchor text efficiently

Make sure that the keywords you use in your anchor text are relevant and precise. Long sets of anchor text are not crawler-friendly and will be harmful to the SEO groundwork of your web page.

#3: Use appropriate tags

The words at the beginning of the title tag have more prominence than those at the end. The targeted length for the title tags should be 65 characters (including spaces). Although crawlers can recognize up to 125 characters, only 65 characters are shown in the search results.

There are many rules and principles to follow when developing and designing your web page to make it as SEO-friendly as possible.
