You must show them that you care about their feedback and that you are actually there for them. Many businesses however, have taken this idea of interacting and have accidentally started to over-act in their social media campaigns.

A tweet saying, “Viagra Viagra Viagra, click here for more Viagra!”, will get that user dropped in a heartbeat from their whopping two followers. As soon as you start posting too often on Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media site, you too will be dropped and never be followed again.

When you interact with your social media customers, realize that no matter how clever you think you are that too many posts is always too many posts. Sometimes less is more in the social media world.

As a general rule of thumb, please do not post more than twice a day on Twitter and usually only once a day on Facebook. This strategy will pleasantly inform and not drastically annoy your followers.

Keep up the good work, but don’t keep it up too much…
