Sharing is caring!

YouTube is by far one of the most visited websites in the worlds. There are thousands of hours of video being uploaded every day. It can be a very productive form of marketing, as many have made careers out of their YouTube channels. But if done incorrectly, it can potentially hurt your company.

Focus On Your Brand

Millions of people are using YouTube daily for enjoyment, information, entertainment, etc. Often times, viewers will get on to YouTube to find information on certain brands. They look for the videos that seem to offer the most information, or the most entertainment. One such brand is E*Trade. Everyone has seen a commercial with the famous E*Trade baby, and have likely viewed it on YouTube a few times since. This is due to brilliant marketing, and a company that focuses on its brand.

As you watch commercials, such as the E*Trade Example, you will notice that they focus completely on their brand. Although they are using a baby as their spokesperson, they focus 100 percent on their brand. They do an excellent job at entertaining the viewer while watching a commercial about trading in the stock market. That is not always the most exciting topic, so to make that entertaining for almost any viewer is just brilliant marketing.

Create Brand Awareness

As you make your YouTube videos, make sure you are focusing on your brand. Create brand awareness. If you confuse the viewer they are less likely to return to your brand. Don’t just make a video for the sake of making a video. Plan it out, make sure you cover all your bases, and ALWAYS focus on your brand.

Integrate Social Media

Another way to focus on your brand is to integrate your social media profiles on YouTube. As you create a YouTube channel, make sure you have a link to your Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, and whatever other social media account you use. This will go a long way to driving traffic to your site and creating brand awareness.

Make sure you cover all your bases with YouTube marketing. There are many things to keep in mind, but as you get going with them, you will see results. Remember to plan, prepare, implement, and always, ALWAYS focus on your brand.
