We here all kinds of tricks and tips that will “help your company succeed in social media marketing”. But sometimes all that information can get overwhelming. So I have compiled what I believe to be the top 5 tips of social media marketing and have condensed it into a short and sweet list to help get you on your way!
Timing really is everything. If you get into work and are throwing together a post in the morning when say, all of your followers just got into work, then you are most likely not going to get any good interactions or impressions. However, time it in the evening, weekends, or when your followers are on break then your lasting impression is going to increase by quite a bit.
There is nothing wrong with sharing content more than once. If you are a smaller company than it is most likely
a lot of your readers aren’t seeing your content the first time you posted. Now I’m not saying to copy and paste your first post and throw it into a later post; but if you have good web content than share it more than once! You want your readers to know you have something important they NEED to hear.
3. Call to Action:
“Facebook posts with questions generate 92 percent higher comment rates than posts without questions, according to the Buddy Media report.” Whether it’s a contest, link, “capthat”, or fill in the blank. Give your readers the opportunity to interact with your company. You can’t expect responses if you aren’t asking any questions.
4. Open Up:
Part of creating a good social media business page is to be open and share a piece of the company with the world. You could share what goes on behind the scenes at your company or spotlight some employees! Whatever it is, sharing the more personal side of your company builds trust AND builds a connection with the audience you may not have had otherwise.
Try to use images as often as possible! “Photos attract 53 percent more “Likes,” 104 percent more comments, and 84 percent more click-throughs.” However, use caution, simply posting a stock photo isn’t nearly as effective as posting an infographic or image that really means something. But still, an image sure does capture an audience’s attention.
So now that you have your quick tips to social media success… Get out there and capture your audience’s attention! Time your posts to your audience’s prime social media indulging time. Never be afraid to post your content more than once. Ask your reader’s questions; if you don’t ask, they won’t answer! Open up, share the more personal side of your company and invite them to feel/be a part of your company. And finally share clever, witty, fun, informative, or engaging images as much as possible.
