Sew Sweet Minky had a commanding presence on its Facebook page, hosting blanket auctions that attracted thousands of loyal customers. However, their Facebook clout wasn’t enough to establish a notable online presence.

Big Leap’s primary objective was to make it easier for Sew Sweet Minky customers to leave reviews. So, we created an email drip campaign that targeted customers who made a purchase. 

A drip campaign is when a company sends multiple marketing emails to a customer over a long period of time. In the case of Sew Sweet Minky, we planned to send every customer four emails that would eventually lead to a request for them to review their product and the service they received.

The first email would thank the customer for making their purchase and ask if there is anything Sew Sweet Minky can do to make the next purchase an even better experience.

A few days later, the customer would get a second email with an attached article and infographic that details how to care for and wash their blanket. 

About a week after the initial purchase, a third email is then sent to offer a promo code for their next purchase. 

Finally, a few days after that, the fourth email is sent out. This gives a prompt to leave Sew Sweet Minky a review on their website, and a link to easily guide them to the review site.

Six months after the start of the campaign, we garnered 123 Google reviews for an average rating of 4.5-stars.


The Results

Big Leap started this campaign in April of 2020. Before that, Sew Sweet Minky only had 29 google reviews and a 3.5-star rating. Two months later, those metrics jumped to 70 Google reviews and a 4.2-star rating. And in October of 2020, six months after the start of the campaign, we garnered 123 Google reviews for an average rating of 4.5-stars.

This growth didn’t happen until the campaign was in place, so we feel we can accurately attribute these reviews to the drip campaign.
