From humble beginnings as an intern at SEO.com to Big Leap’s Director of PPC, Scott Smoot has had an ever-evolving journey in the digital marketing industry. Over his 20-year career, he’s worked with hundreds of clients in industries, such as:

As an SEO manager, Scott began to explore other marketing channels, such as paid media. He then took the initiative to educate himself on the subject and to experiment with paid media to see if it could help his clients.

Eventually, Scott realized he was exactly where he needed to be within the digital marketing field.

Scott loves being a digital Sherlock Holmes, which drives him in all his PPC and digital marketing pursuits. Trying different campaigns and comparing results keeps the job interesting. However, don’t think that Scott only cares about numbers—he loves seeing the positive impact on clients and their larger goals.

When he shuts his laptop, Scott turns into a dad of four beautiful daughters. When he’s not with them, he enjoys DIY projects around the house and gaming.

Education

Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Brigham Young University and is Google AdWords Certified.
