Your Shop. Our Show.
Treats worth the trip. Shops worth the spotlight.
Built for Utah’s Sweet Scene
Supporting Local Businesses
Sweet Takes podcast is a locally produced podcast that highlights Utah businesses while sharing conversations with entrepreneurs, marketers, and community leaders, with a stop at the best sweet shops in town.
We are committed to spotlighting the small businesses that make Utah unique. Our goal is simple: introduce listeners to the places locals genuinely love, one #SweetTakesRun at a time.
Utah: Home of the Dirty Soda and Competitive Cookie Culture
Utah is known for its unique dessert scene, from dirty sodas to competitive cookie shops. Each episode, our guest picks a local sweet spot for a quick treat, celebrating the businesses behind these local favorites. Founded in Lehi, Sweet Takes embraces Utah’s iconic “drink run” culture, connecting great conversations with great local flavor.
Here’s How Filming Works
Pre-Ride “So where are we going?” Interview
Filming begins with a ‘runway’ interview in our office between the guest and the host. The interview is all about which sweet shop they chose, why, and what they plan to order. It is meant to be promotional for the sweet shop and to provide a little insight into our guests as humans, apart from their careers, professional accomplishments, etc. The interview establishes rapport and invites the audience to relate to them in a candid and everyday way. The interview will be edited into the podcast and played during the portion of our trip where our guest & host are ordering their sweets.
Post-Ride “This is so good!” Interview
Upon returning to Big Leap, we conduct another interview in our office in the same runway format (both standing in front of a screen) and report on how good our snacks are. Our guest can even eat or drink your snack or beverage on camera. This segment is simply an endorsement of the sweet shop.
How We Promote Your Shop
On the Podcast
Sweet Takes isn’t your typical podcast. It’s filmed in a moving truck, on the way to a shop our guest picked themselves. We don’t have official sponsors right now, which means nobody’s paying us to say nice things. Just a real conversation and a real reaction to a real treat.
That’s what makes being featured mean something. When a shop shows up on Sweet Takes, it’s because someone we respect wanted to take us there. The review at the end? 100% raw. It’s honest makes the good reviews worth anything at all.
Every episode wraps with that candid, lighthearted review, plus a dedicated mention of your shop woven into the conversation.
On Facebook
Our Sweet Takes production team promotes the show through a unique lens on each platform for social media. For the sweet shop, the main platform we use is Facebook. We tag the local Facebook page and often create custom graphics with their logo.
On Instagram
Our Sweet Takes production team uses Instagram for a behind-the-scenes look at Big Leap and podcast filming. That being said, we are willing to do a collaboration post with our sweet shop feature! Got ideas for a unique post? Let’s make it happen!
In Your Store
- Shops can put up our small sign: “Featured on Sweet Takes Podcast 🎙️” with a QR code for watching.
- Shops can feature our digital badge, which they can download. “Featured on Sweet Takes Podcast 🎙️”
Apron, Patch, Swag
Sweet Takes Apron & Recognition
We provide each featured shop with a Sweet Takes apron as part of the experience.
Additionally, shops receive a custom patch each time they are featured on the show. If a shop is featured multiple times, they’ll continue collecting patches. We love celebrating the ongoing recognition of their involvement with Sweet Takes.
Final Segment: Honest Review + Swag
The episode concludes with an honest, lighthearted review of the sweets.
We invite featured shops to provide branded swag (hats, shirts, etc.) for the host and guest to wear during this segment, which adds personality, visibility, and a final branded moment to close out the show.

- Frosting or no frosting?
- Rate the vibes in this room from 1 to 10

Film a TikTok
When possible, we like to capture short-form video on-site that requires little to no additional setup. This can take the form of a current trend, a quick reaction, a rapid-fire Q&A, or a simple “first bite” moment.
The goal is to create a piece of native, platform-friendly content that feels timely, authentic, and easy to share.
Sweet Shop Giveaway Collaboration Idea
Our Sweet Shops often use their Sweet Takes feature as a chance for a gift card giveaway! For example, something like: $10 gift card to this week’s sweet shop. Shoutout on the podcast. Example copy your should could use might be something like: “How to enter: follow the shop, subscribe to Sweet Takes on YouTube, and comment your favorite cookie flavor (or drink from said shop).
Your Shop Deserves the Spotlight
Sweet Takes only works because Utah shows up for its local businesses. Our guests pick the shops themselves — so if yours ends up on the route, it’s because someone wanted to take us to YOUR place specifically. We’d love to meet you and try what you’re known for.
