I used to hate people who exclaimed, “why I remember when that first came out, it was … “ or something else to show their “expertise” or advanced and lengthy experience with a product.  Unfortunately, I’m going to pull the same line [please don’t hate me :)]…

I remember when Twitter came out and it didn’t have any photos or videos, just 140 characters. Things have changed over the past few years. Twitter added their own link-shortening serivce. They’ve added photo-sharing options. And today they have finally released with the world video sharing.  VINE, which was released in the iphone app store today, allows iphone users an easy way to share video on Twitter.

VINE by Twitter

VINE doesn’t just record video, but it compiles video.  Imagine a six-second animated GIF made from several clips and you have a VINE video.  I’ve been playing with the app today and have included a couple of links below to show off what it can do. Just so you know, I tried shooting about 6 or 7 videos and only 2 or 3 of them didn’t crash it. I’m guess that will get fixed in later updates.

You can also follow me on Twitter @benjaminard to see my upcoming VINE videos.

What are your thoughts?  Does VINE actually make you start sharing videos online?  Let us know in the comments section below.
