One year ago, February 24th 2011, Google released its newest algorithm and fiercest defense against low quality content from its search results.  This defense would become known as the Panda Update and has forever changed the way sites focus their search engine optimization goals.

While Panda was actually named after Google’s employee who developed the update, this update truly is the Kung-Fu-Panda of duplicate content and will destroy page ranking of a site that lacks high quality. Here’s a look at what Panda has been through since its birth a year ago…
